Kela is an associate at Kaufman & Canoles, where he is a member of the China Team and the firm’s Corporate and Public Finance Group. He earned his LL.B. and his B.A. from Peking University in 2002, his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2007 and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School in 2010.

Kela has worked on a variety of private placements, initial public offerings and follow-on offerings. His experience with the Corporate and Public Finance Group also includes securities compliance and corporate governance matters for public company clients following their successful listings.
