We represent a variety of companies with hazardous waste and Superfund matters in multiple states or around the country, and the person we seek will have an established, self-sustaining practice that can be blended with ours and supported from our Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Richmond, Virginia Beach or Williamsburg offices. The Williamsburg office of Kaufman & Canoles is seeking a full-time Courier/Title Clerk to perform a variety of administrative and support duties for staff and attorneys. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  traveling to various courthouses, performing title searches, making bank deposits, delivering/picking up client documents, and providing back-up for the Receptionist. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 and have exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently. A clean driving record and a high school diploma or equivalent are required.

Kaufman & Canoles is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant for the Williamsburg office to perform a variety of administrative duties in support of assigned attorneys. Candidates must possess a minimum of three years' relevant work experience and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm matters. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 and typing skills at a level of 65 WPM required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Must have the ability to organize and prioritize competing responsibilities and work well under stiff time constraints. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
