    Nicole J. Harrell Contributing Author for the ABA Franchise Deskbook

    Kaufman & Canoles is pleased to announce that Nicole J. Harell served as contributing author for the third edition of the American Bar Association’s Franchise Deskbook’s chapter on the Virginia Retail Franchising Act.

    The two-volume deskbook provides an essential reference to franchise registration, disclosure and relationship statutes, and the accompanying regulations. It includes annotations of reported and unreported cases arranged and keyed to important topics in franchise law, such as franchise fees, and exemptions from registration.

    Nicole is a member of the Franchise Team in the firm’s Norfolk office. She represents franchisors in regulatory matters, including preparation of franchise disclosure documents, franchise agreements and related ancillary documents, and registration and compliance. In addition, she represents franchisees in review of franchise disclosure documents, negotiation of franchise agreements, and termination of franchise agreements and relationships.
